Dr. Robyn Smith grew up on the Jersey Shore. Dr. Smith attended Delaware Valley University where she graduated with an undergraduate degree in Animal Science. She went on to receive her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois. In veterinary school, Dr. Smith took several ultrasound rotations and had a special interest in radiology.
After graduating, Dr. Smith worked in a mixed practice in Indiana with many different species and enjoyed a wide variety of experiences before moving back to New Jersey. In the Midwest, she gained experience in reproductive and abdominal ultrasound on both large and small animals. She worked in general practice for several years, further developing her ultrasonography skills. Dr. Smith joined Veterinary Heart-Sounds in 2018. She lives in Monmouth County, New Jersey with her husband, son, and two rescue cats, Yoda and Bentley. She volunteers with the Jersey Shore Dream Center and enjoys kickboxing, music concerts, and reading. |
